Pitcher Impact iOS 2.85.337 is Released!

Hey there 👋

We’re pleased to announce that the following features and bug fixes are now available in the AppStore!

NEW

Search Engine Improvements

Now our Impact iOS users can use the new improved search engine ,as was implemented in Pitcher Impact Windows 1.47.0.732,  to help find the right customers inside Pitcher. The following search capabilities have been introduced:

  • Search case insensitive for non-latin alphabet characters like Turkish. For Example: Search for by “orcun” to identify “Orçun"
  • Search case insensitive for Diacritic characters. For Example: Search for by “ole” to identify “Öle”.
  • Support wild card search without user input. For Example: Search for by “rob will” to identify “Robert Williams"
  • Support search for non-ordered strings. For Example: Search “Williams  Robert” to identify  “Robert Williams”

These new enhancements have been introduced across all Pitcher Super App allowing the users to do the improved search anywhere like Detailed Planning, Quick Planning, Home UI, Interactives which by default are off.

In order to enable that feature, users need to go to Pitcher settings and turn on the new configuration as shown in the image below.

Advanced Search configuration

In addition to the features above, a new Advanced Search configuration can be enabled inside your instance to define a CRM field that extends the search to additional fields like address, type, title, function, segmentation or any other field available inside your Account or Contact CRM fields.

Please contact your Pitcher SPOC to learn more about this new Advanced Search Configuration feature and how to activate it.

SDKSUPPORT

New Native SDK Events have been added to assist partners and developers in meeting new customer requirements.

  • Ti.App.fireEvent('addsfEvent'): This event directly creates a planned call with the given parameters from an interactive.

Config parameters

  • callUniqueFieldIOS: new parameter has been introduced in order to support dual synchronizations between different platforms such as iOS/Windows/Android for our multi-device customers.
  • syncSubmittedCalls: new parameter introduced to sync submitted calls in iCal calendar to support our multi-device customers.

BUG FIXES

  • Salesforce queries fails if the query contains an ampersand (&). Now the following conditions are supported:
WHERE Status = 'Discovery & Validation'
  • Creating a call from task form with choose later option was not possible, now this issue has been fixed.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

In terms of user experience changes, let me summarize a couple of items:

- New UI in the Login screen

- Login using your email, not your previous username

- Change of your password is done via resetting the password. If triggered, User will receive a link where to update it. Please note that, by default, Early Access environment will have the same password than in Production, but if the password is reset in Early Access, Production password won't change.

-SSO Capabilities. Auth0 allows enabling SSO (Single Sign-On) options. By default, SSO options are not enabled. Moving forward, once Auth0 is deployed to Production, Customers can request SSO to be activated.

Pitcher Impact Windows 2.18.2.0 is Released!

Hey there 👋

new

We are pleased to announce that we will promote our Windows version to the most recent Windows technology as part of our strategy to offer the best technological solutions to our customers.

Two Windows applications are available inside Windows Store, Pitcher Impact and Pitcher Impact UWP supporting the latest technology features.

The old version will be available in the store until the end of the year when we will do our final decommission.

Regarding the transfer and the necessary actions, kindly get in touch with your Pitcher representative.

NEW FEATURES & UPDATES UWP

Perfomance Improvements

Especially around web applications (such as Coaching, Postcall) and content viewers (such as PDF, Presentations) this means more direct access to device capabilities and performance, based on our calculations can reach and surpass 2x vs previous versions.

Improved user experience

1. Device Identification Window

The Device Identification Window has been redesigned to be more user-friendly and conform to our new UI/UX guidelines.

Furthermore, the QR Code option has been deactivated.

2. Improved Scale User Interface

Our UIs and apps can use default Windows scale options to scale the app based on the user's device settings with UWP. This allows the user interface to make better use of space by having larger tiles in the Home UI or larger field boxes, enhancing the user experience and preventing incorrect actions.

Users can review Scale options by going to Settings->Display->Scale and viewing the recommended settings for each device.

3. Improved Date Pickers inside Planning Views

Date pickers have been enhanced to assist users in selecting the correct day for call scheduling.  The day of the week is now visible, along with a calendar selection, to ensure that the call is scheduled on the correct day, without having to go back and forth or check other applications to ensure the date is correct.

Detailed Planning:

Quick Planning:

4. Delete previous searches in Detailed and Map View with a single click.

The detailed and map views have been aligned with other apps to allow users to delete previous searches with a single click. Inside account and contacts search, a delete (x) icon has been introduced:

5. Offline Mode disclaimer

A new message appears in the device identification window to inform users that the application is currently in offline mode.

6. Confirmation before close the app

Before the app is closed using the default Windows close button, a new warning alert will be made available to users.

Other User Interface Changes

Some menus and icons were automatically adapted to the new Windows environment as part of the migration to Windows technology. Some examples can be found below:

Settings can now be accessed at any time from the bottom right corner.

Settings are now displayed all together:

Pitcher Zero 1.82 version is released!

Hey there 👋

NEW We’re pleased to announce that the following features and enhancements are now available with the new zero 1.82 version.

Pitcher Sync Tracking

We are pleased to inform you that two new objects have been included in the new package to assist SFDC Admin in tracking how the synchronizations perform on the field.

Pitcher Sync Activity Tracking: This allows you to view synchronization tracking data in SFDC, including the sync time evaluation and success status of the sync tracking activity.

The data in the object relates to the Download stream and allows for reviewing permission errors for SFDC objects contained in the configuration file and long synchronization delays.

Pitcher Sync Error: It allows any Upstream/Downstream errors produced during a sync to be included in SFDC.

  • Upstream: If a problem occurs while processing the records, any data generated offline and synced with SFDC can be tracked with that object. Administrators can check the number of user attempts to process; the most recent attempt includes a long error message. The error will be recorded as a Conflict and processed once corrected.
  • Downstream: if there is a problem with visibility when records are synchronized from SFDC to Pitcher, it will be created here and connected to each Sync Activity.

Pre-call and Post call notes.

Inside the Pitcher Presentation object, two new fields have been introduced to allow users to put out Pre-call and Post call notes. The soon-to-be-released Timeline Component will make use of these new fields.

Track content that was shared via multichannel activities

Inside Pitcher Multichannel Activity Object, a new field Session Id has been introduced, allowing the linking of Sent messages with Content shared. The soon-to-be-released Timeline Component will make use of this new field.

Failed Reason in Sent Messages

A new field, Failed Reason, has been added to inform why a message has not been delivered to a customer.

The following changes are disabled by default; if you want to enable them, please contact your Pitcher representative.

Pitcher Impact iOS 2.85.308 is Released!

Hey there 👋

We’re pleased to announce that the following features and bug fixes are now available in the AppStore!

New

Send Synch Activity Tracking and Synch Errors to CRM

New feature has been added to support to send the following information to CRM:

  • Synch Stats: Allows for the integration of all end-user synchronization tracking data into CRM and allows for the assessment of synch time and whether or not it was successful.
  • Synch Errors: allowing any Upstream/Downstream errors produced during a sync to be included into CRM.

That features are not enabled by default and require changes in the configuration of the instances. Your Pitcher Representative can be contacted to activate this feature.

Download Language Package

It is no longer necessary to manually choose the instance when the app is resuming because the Download Language Package has been adjusted in iOS to function similarly to Windows. As a result, the process is now more user-friendly.

SDK Support

Config parameters have been added to support customers configurations.

  • TerritoryVisibility: setting used to filter queries based on Accounts is now available for custom cache queries Ex: select id, name, accountid where {TerritoryVisibility}
  • limitContactSearchToAccounts: A new option has been added to restrict contact searches to the accounts chosen during detailed planning; this new feature aids customers who have a large number of contacts and account relationships in finding the right client. Searches are conducted by default inside the entire universe.
  • pinColorsToHideOnAccountList: The pin could be shown in the Account panel thanks to a feature in version 291. In that new version, we may now include the pins that consumers desire to hide.

  • customCrmErrorHandlerEvent: sends parameters for downstream errors to given event name as part of new feature Send Synch Activity Tracking and Synch Errors to CRM
  • customUpstreamErrorHandlerEvent: sends parameters for upstream errors to given event name as part of new feature Send Synch Activity Tracking and Synch Errors to CRM
  • customUpstreamSuccessHandlerEvent: sends parameters for upstream errors that no longer fail to given event name as part of new feature Send Synch Activity Tracking and Synch Errors to CRM

New Native SDK Events have been added to assist partners and developers in meeting new customer requirements.

  • Ti.App.fireEvent('setAccountID')

New event has been implemented to support to change Accounts inside a planned call in the post call form. By using this feature, it is possible to modify the account if it is modified during the interaction rather than starting a new one.

  • Ti.App.fireEvent('getparameter')

New event has been implemented to support enable loading interactives in iframes

That features are not enabled by default and requires changes in the configuration of the instances. Your Pitcher Representative can be contacted to activate this feature.

Save trip for quick call planning is now available for iPhone allowing user can check saved trips, plan trips and optimize trips on the iPhone as well.

Pitcher Admin Auth0 login goes into Early Access

Hey there! our team of Engineers has been working to implement Auth0 login in Pitcher Admin, so our users can have a nicer and safer experience.

Before deploying Auth0 in Production and enabling everyone to use this new login mechanism, we wanted to give you the chance to check it out. The Early Access environment, intended to collect feedback from our customers before we deploy the functionality, has access to the same instances & data as Production, but it has Auth0 login activated, which means that Early Access users can experience the new login with their real data.

In the meanwhile, the good old Production admin.pitcher.com URL will behave exactly the same. Auth0 will be deployed to Production on Wednesday October 26th.

In terms of user experience changes, let me summarize a couple of items:

- New UI in the Login screen

- Change of your password is done via resetting the password. If triggered, User will receive a link where to update it. Please note that, by default, Early Access environment will have the same password than in Production, but if the password is reset in Early Access, Production password won't change.

-SSO Capabilities. Auth0 allows enabling SSO (Single Sign-On) options. By default, SSO options are not enabled. Moving forward, once Auth0 is deployed to Production, Customers can request SSO to be activated.

If you are interested in checking what the new Auth0 login looks like and getting Early Access on Auth0 for Pitcher Admin, please reach your Pitcher contact person.
