Pitcher Impact iOS 2.85.481 is Released!

Hello there! A new Impact version has been released with minor improvements and bug fixes.

IMPROVEMENTS

The minimum required iOS version

Inline with our last 2 major Version Support policy, we have dropped iOS14 support to improve stability and performance.

Users using iOS14 can still use Pitcher with version 449 and earlier.

Start Call From Detailed Planning

Detailed Planning has been improved to enable starting a planned event by selecting it from the calendar. Users have both options Start and Edit, if the parameter startCallFromDetailedPlanning is set to true in the configuration file.

Address inside Contact Map view

The address value is now available inside the Contact map view to identify contacts easily and avoid selecting an incorrect one when it is the same name.

Download Mandatory Files First

If metadata downloadMandatory is configured inside the file, a new feature has been made to facilitate downloading all mandatory files, such as UI, Config, PostCall Form, and Consent,... first before starting to download normal marketing content.

Linked File Management

To prevent downloading the same linked file more than once, the logic within linked has been changed to prevent this case.

Now is only required to download once in the available instance to be ready in the other linked ones avoiding downloading multiple times.

Please contact your Pitcher representative to activate that features.

SDK SUPPORT

Config parameters

startCallFromDetailedPlanning: Allows to start call directly from Detailed Planning. The setting is, by default, always off.

New Native SDK Event have been added to assist partners and developers in meeting new customer requirements.

  • To be consistent across all views, the default duration in the Calendar Map Option has been changed from 1 hour to 0.5.

Presenting PACMAN, Pitcher Advanced Calendar Manager for iOS

Hello there!
I am really excited to introduce PACMAN, Pitcher Advanced Calendar Manager for iOS, a redesigned and enhanced tool just released to Pitcher Impact IPad & IPad OS. Incorporating long-requested functionalities such as Drag-and-drop scheduling and Accounts insight information without leaving the Calendar page.

Please find below a summary of its main features - as there are a lot!

Scheduling via dragging and dropping Accounts and Contacts

One of the most important additions to Pitcher Calendar is the right bar, which lists all the Accounts and Contacts that are available on the device.  PACMAN allows the user to drag and drop the Accounts and Contacts into the Days, enabling easy and intuitive Event planning.

Time Off Territory scheduling has also been implemented via Drag and Drop, enabling predefined slots for Half and Full Day, that can be adjusted after dropping. ToT scheduling is available from the tab Trips & ToT.

Please note it is possible to schedule Events with multiple Contacts at the same time. Just tap on the "+" sign next to each of the Contacts you are planning to invite and then drag and drop the resulting group, summarized in a dynamic red section placed on top of the Accounts and Contacts column, into the right Calendar slot.

In the case the Contacts selected belong to different Accounts, there will be a warning message asking for confirmation.

Filtering records

As the number of Accounts and Contacts available may be high, we have implemented filtering and sorting mechanisms based on their attributes, which are configurable, to enable the users to find their records in an easy manner.

Account information

If configured, Accounts can be identified at a glimpse on the list thanks to the Account Badges. They are configurable and enable exposing information as relevant as Segmentation on the Pitcher Calendar. Account Badges are configurable, and you can decide which is the right attribute should be displayed in a more prominent way if any.

Also, PACMAN allows users to check which Contacts work on each of the Accounts, with just one tap and without leaving the Calendar.

Routes

Routes are collections of events. They can be saved at Day or Week level, and they enable reusability. Saved Days and Weeks can be applied to other Days and Weeks, reusing perfect routes for efficiency or just to save time. You can access them from the Trips & ToT tab.

Optimizing a scheduled day
Using your location and the addresses of the Accounts and Contacts you are planning to visit on the day, you can have your day route optimized based on your current location, where your Customers are, and the traffic information. Please note Optimization process requires an online connection.

Important: Optimizing a scheduled day can reorder your already scheduled Events for the day if you confirm the changes. Please take this into consideration if you have agreed on the visiting times with any of the Customers of the day.

Color coding

In order to ease the identification of the events displayed in the calendar, we have implemented a color coding highlighting the status or the types of Events. It goes like this:

  • Red: calls that are planned and have not yet been completed.
  • Blue: calls that are planned (in the future) and are not submitted.
  • Green: realized/completed calls.
  • Gray: events coming from the device calendar, like iCal or Outlook.
  • Orange: other events synchronized from CRM, like Time Off Territory.

Event insights

If the user taps on the completed events, which will be displayed as previously highlighted in Green color, a pop-up will appear summarizing the details of the Event, including what content was presented. The information displayed can be customized.

Views

PACMAN includes 3 views from which the user can check their Events and other scheduled activities:

  • Day view: this is the default view
  • Week view
  • Monthly view, which includes a list section on the bottom

All allow Drag and Drop for both Event and Time Off Territory creation.

That should be it, as an introduction. In case you would require further information, please do not hesitate to reach for your Pitcher contact person.

Two new objects, Consent Topic Lines & Consent Management, have been introduced in this release to support the changes announced as part of the Consent 2.1 Frontend release in February.

This new release will enable the development of bespoke Consent subtopics to establish dynamic extra channels or groups of areas of interest inside each Consent subject.

  • Disable Consent outside engagement: Disable F2F consent submissions outside a call.

Note: These changes are disabled by default; if you want to enable them, please contact your Pitcher representative.

In addition to that change, all calendar settings have been reorganized inside the same section, Calendar Settings.
