New Enhancements Inside Pitcher Samples Are Available!
We are happy to announce the release of Samples 2.4, packed with new features, enhancements, and important fixes to improve your experience. Here's a detailed overview of what’s included:
Samples F2F Acknowledgment - Customer Confirmation
The sample acknowledgment process has been enhanced to ensure that pharmaceutical samples requested by sales representatives are correctly received and confirmed by healthcare professionals. After delivery, the recipient must confirm receipt through an electronic signature. This update enhances traceability, ensures compliance with regulations, and improves record-keeping accuracy.
Samples Remote Acknowledgment - Customer Confirmation
In addition to face-to-face (F2F) confirmations, we have now introduced a remote acknowledgment option to further streamline the sample confirmation process. After an in-person delivery, sales representatives can send a confirmation request via email, allowing the healthcare professional to complete the acknowledgment through a secure link. This new remote capability ensures the same level of compliance, traceability, and ease of use, even when in-person interactions are not possible.
Skip Limits with Reason
A new feature allows users to skip configured limits for specific markets and products. Sales representatives can now provide a reason for bypassing these limits, ensuring improved flexibility in sample management. This applies to both sample drops and sample requests.
One-Time License
Users can now create a one-time license if the 'One-Time License' option is enabled in settings. This license allows a single valid sample drop for the customer. Once the sample has been delivered, the license status will automatically switch to 'Sampled,' preventing further sample drops or requests. If additional samples are required, an admin must manually review and update the license status back to 'Valid.'
New Blocking Logic
A new blocking logic feature has been introduced in the Disclaimer metadata settings. Filters can now be applied to account or contact object criteria to restrict sample drops or requests if certain conditions are met. For example, sample drops can be blocked if the healthcare professional's type is not listed as 'Doctor.'

Product Removal in Summary Page
A new option has been added to the summary page that allows users to remove products directly if a mistake is made or if a product is no longer needed. This enhancement improves the user experience by eliminating the need to return to the action page to remove items.
Other Enhancements
- Disable Comments: A new setting in the Inventory Market allows users to disable all comments within the Samples App with a single click.
- Reason Field for Sample Drops/Requests: A new field has been introduced that enables users to provide a reason when recording sample or material drops/requests, improving traceability.
- New License Text Fields in Inventory Records: New text fields have been added to Inventory Order and Inventory Transaction records to capture license information at the time of sample delivery. This ensures that accurate data is maintained even if the master table license information is later updated.
- New Filter Options for Orders/Drop: New filtering options have been added to Inventory Settings, enabling tailored product queries for each market. Users can now define additional market conditions to display only products that match specific criteria.
- New Signature Field: A new field has been introduced to store signatures as binary data, which can be converted into an image format as required.
- Change Contact in Summary View: The existing contact logic has been updated to consider the limits of a newly selected contact inside the summary view. This improvement offers greater flexibility for users managing multiple contacts with sample limits.
- Enhanced Integration Logic: New integration logic has been introduced to ensure that potential synchronization errors do not disrupt limit calculations on related records within the same parent transaction. This enhancement improves overall system stability and integration performance.
- Reconciliation Survery: The reconciliation survey flow has been adjusted to ensure the manager name field appears before the related question is presented.
- Inactive Inventory Products: A new SFDC logic automatically activates inactive inventory products when new loads or transfers are created, eliminating the need for manual activation by admins.
